Zoobody.com is excited to announce the winner of the Horror Movie Competition!
http://www.zoobody.com (Los Angeles) October 31st, 2008 - Zoobody.com and Producer Michael Meltzer are thrilled to announce the winner of the Horror Script Contest. Thousands of members from the Zoobody site have selected “Obsessed” written by Michael Catalano, of Wayne, New Jersey and Jennifer Fetzko of Paterson, New Jersey. Today – Halloween eve is the perfect and appropriate day for this announcement.
Voting took place at Zoobody.com and now the winners, Michael and Jennifer will move forward in working their treatment, “Obsessed” into a full feature movie. Producer Michael Meltzer along with the Zoobody team will assist them throughout the process; developing an expanded screenplay, selecting actors, crew and locations for filming. Zoobody.com members will be searched for these positions when the process moves through each step, as the website offers complete resume service for the industry.
“The final battle came down to two great ideas and we feel “Obsessed will make an exceptional first movie for these writers” says Mike DeMatteo, Zoobody.com’s C.O.O.
“Michael and Jennifer are going to get a real world experience in screenplay writing editing and bringing their idea to completion. The best thing about this is they have a very good chance at getting their movie made,” says Producer Michael Meltzer.
The entire process will be available worldwide for video blog at Zoobody.com, to get a first hand look at the treatment to screenplay steps and ultimately to the big screen. “Zoobody was created for many reasons, one being the opportunity for the neophyte writers and film makers, crew and actors to have accessibility to Hollywood and all the professionalism it has to offer.,” says Dan Faiman, CEO of Zoobody.com.
Zoobody.com and Michael Meltzer have also decided to help contest runner up Jason Marsiglia of Michigan, develop his idea “Judgment Alley” by giving him a one-on-one class on Zoobody Exhibits with Michael Meltzer to improve his script.
“Both script ideas were great, so we made the decision to help Jason with his script and who knows if we are successful with “Obsessed” maybe “Judgment Alley” will be our second project,” says Zoobody.com’s COO Mike DeMatteo.
